My line starts in Freinsheim in western Germany and from what I've been told through another researcher, came to America on the Pennsylvania Merchant that sailed from Rotterdam September 11th, 1731. With John Stedman as the Master (I'm guessing ship's captain).
The list of passengers includes the following. Men's names: FEDER, Michael, and from original list FETER, Michail. Women's names over the age of 16 are: FETER, Helen, FETER, Katrina, FETER, Katrina, and FETER, Joanna. The following children are also listed: FETER, Katrina and FETER, Michael.
I descend from Michael FETTERS Jr (the second) and Catherine Gilman. Michael passed away in Ohio, and Catherine and their 7 children moved to Warren County, Iowa where Catherine later passed away.
